Nate and Janette McGurk have been missionaries with Trans World Radio (TWR), since 1993. They are Kansas natives and call Topeka home. They met while students at Ottawa University, where they married and began a career in broadcasting. Nate worked in radio for several years, including WIBW in Topeka and WMBI in Chicago. They have five adult children who all live in Manhattan and Topeka. However one daughter will soon join TWR. With TWR they have worked from Guam, South Africa, Bonaire, Vienna, and now Cyprus. Nate has a multidimensional background in radio allowing him to work in program development, news, leadership, and special projects. Presently Nate is the co-Technical Director for Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Much of the outreach is to one of the largest non Christian religious groups in the region. Janette is involved in ministry to refugee women who have come to Cyprus. Cyprus is considered the crossroads of the Middle East and Europe. They currently live less than 275 miles from Jerusalem.
